So this page has only two words of spoken dialogue, but the screentones more than made up for things in terms of time taken to do this page. Gradients like the one in the corner of the page look neat, but they also take FOREVER. And really, the dialogue took longer than expected, too, since I decided to look up "alright" and "all right" in terms of grammatical correctness in the context of informal speaking, and which would look better visually. I think too hard about things. (Turns out it's subjective!)
Anyways, I added a little donation button to the sidebar over there. I'm toying with ideas for donation incentives. So far, all I've come up with are donation wallpapers and bonus comics:
For bonus comics, I'd plan out a short little story arc that would show different sides of the characters, what side-characters I currently don't have any plans for are doing now, or something fun and silly, and set a donation goal for each bonus arc (each goal would differ depending on the length), and when that goal is met, I'd draw out the comic and everything and post it. I like the theory of it, but it would mean drawing a lot of pages at once, and I'm currently updating pretty much as often as I can currently handle, so I don't know adding to that workload would turn out.
With pretty much every site I've seen do the donation wallpaper thing, whoever donates $1 would get the wallpaper of the month. The inherent problem here is I've never seen a donation wallpaper I'd willingly pay $1 for, and I'd feel bad for people paying for that quality of work. (Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough? If you know of a good webcomic that actually offers decent wallpapers for donating, link me!) But hey, who says I have to set my artistic standards that low? So my assignment for myself over the next couple of days is to draw some decent PF wallpaper and give this thing a shot.
